92 suzuki dt40 ignition coils

Hi all,

so I checked my spark plugs for spark on my 1992 suzuki dt40 and 1 of them wasnt sparking.
first thought it to replace coils and i looked into it and there seems to be no coils? just a box that the
coil wires run into, CDI box. Is there coils on this motor or is it just the cdi box?

I believe its all one unit. There is a condenser coil under flywheel wheel sends AC voltage to condensr/coil unit then converts it. Condenser coil cheap fix , CDI not so cheap. You can hook up simple multimeter to wires going into CDI check AC volts, special equip needed to check the CDI/coil unit. Ohms/volt meter wont work

Before anything else check the plug wire for crud. Suki switch boxes rarely fail so try Ebay for a good used one.
