New gauges in. Tach help.

Hey guys got new gauges in. Thought it would be simple to read instructions on Tach settings but only read English ! Which setting should my tach be set to ? Thanks for any help. 1982 , 115 mercury 6cyl . think s/n number 6198406. That's on the title.

OK figured it out, 12 poles, setting of half on 6, Tach works great, bout 1100 ramps in yard on muffs. Now fuel gauge, old one works fine, new one goes straight to full, should sending unit be grounded straight to batt. And gauge or am I having ohm issues. Thanks
