Helping a friend out I cleaned his carbs and rebuilt them. Engine was coughing and back firing I went to look at it, he adjusted mixture screw and timming screw. Seloc manual he has dosent give timing or mixture screw settings. I ohmed and dva stator, and timer. both working. both plugs firing. I disconnected the rectifier, I recall they can make an engine miss.
If anyone has a shop manual I love to try setting this engine back to spec. link and sink procedures would help as well. been a while since Ive worked on a johnyrude
