Wellcraft Eclipse 197 XL - Full deck restoration plus extras!!

Hi everyone!

My name is Luis and I'm from Puerto Rico. Although this is my first post, I've been reading around the forum for a while now. Actually ever since I found out that my newly acquire Eclipse was a lost cause in terms of the deck. First I though it was rot but it ended up being termites!! Been my first boat I wasn't sure what to do so I started ready all around the web and youtube. Thats how I got finally to here. Although there isn't that much info on my specific boat model I found all the video from friscoboater on youtube and that when I decided to tackle the task. Definitly having no idea how or what to do but since I consider myself a fast learner and a handy guy I said what the hell, lets go for it.

So today the long and frustrating process got its start!

Here are a few pictures of the deck tear down. Feel free to comment on everything as I'm doing this to learn and save the life of my first boat.

By the way, I forgot to put up the year. It is a 1990. It seems that the previous owner re-deck on top of the termites to make the quick sale, because most of the termite damage seems to be from a period of around 3 to 4 years and I've only had the boat year now.

In any case, I'm still moving forward with the project, it's been fun so far. I made it a family event and got everyone doing their parts!
