I'm new to this forum, and to boating in general.
I've just traded a fishing kayak for a 1959 Evinrude Goldtwin Jubilee 10hp model 10018 engine.
I had recently purchased an 11.5' x 52" V hull fiberglass skiff (Tide-Craft) that seems to be about the same age.
I'm excited to get started with this restoration project. Any advice would be well appreciated.

welcome nick.first start at the top of this page in the top seceret files .you will find lots of useful info there .heres a site to check out also .your motor is a 10 hp sportwin i believe ,see no mention atall of what you said.http://www.old-omc.de/index2.html just click on the decade and then evinrude to see your motor .actually a good site to explore.

I believe you meant to say "Golden" Jubilee, not goldtwin. 1959 was Evinrude's 50th Anniversary (Their Golden Jubilee year).
