Is this water or burnt oil?

71 125 evinrude change lower unit for another oil is 2 years old... It's electric shift so what lower unit oil to use?

Use OMC/BRP/Evinrude "Premium Blend" from an Evinrude dealer, or Sierra "Type C" part number 18-9620-0 (10 oz tube) or 18-9620-2 (quarts). Get it here at iboats. NOTE: Sierra "Premium" lower unit gear lube is not the same as OMC/BRP "Premium Blend". Make sure you are buying the correct stuff.

Ok so how do I figure that out I am being pointed in both directions but still not sure which is the correct Lu oil...

OMC/BRP/Evinrude "Premium Blend", OR Sierra Type 'C' (18-9620-0) , OR any other Type 'C' you can find ... :facepalm:

oms sells 2 types around my place

one is written NOT FOR USE IN OMC ELECTRIC SHIFT engines if I remeber correctly it is HIGH VIS

the other says that it is for use in ELECTRIC SHIFT engines :)
