Hello,
I just installed a Quicksilver remanufactured power head in my North River and it runs great. The problem is, after 2.9 hours the starter stayed engaged and kept running until I disconnected the battery. I assumed it was the key switch and replaced it with one my dealer sold me. The problem is still there. Where else could a short be that can cause this? Thanks

find the starter solinoid its where the positve battery cable goes to then remove the small black wire from the solinoid then reconnect the battery if the starter spins then the solinoid is bad if it doesnt start post back.

Thanks Glen.
I disconnected the black wire and hooked the battery up and the starter continued to spin, so I'll replace the solenoid and check again. Thanks.
