P1011848.jpgP1011851.jpgP1011853.jpgP1011855.jpgHi guys,

I am attempting to seal the deck on my 25' Farallon. So far i have solved the rear hatch and fuel tank inspection plate issues with good sealing hatches and covers. The engine box has me stumped. The current cover is a two piece design that funnels water into the bilge. I added a 3" stainless steel rim around the "funnel" (gap) and used 1/4" x 1" 200A waterproof tape. The floor surface being rough and bumpy allows water to get through (it is alot better than before but still leaks) I need all the floor space i currently have for crab pots and work area. If i was to install an L frame and set the new alum cover over it it would work great at sealing the water but would leave me no working room. The current cover is heavy about 70 lbs and should smash the tape where it contacts...maybe 1/2" would fill the voids. Ideas?P1011747.jpg

Hey Woodonglass,
Thank you. The tape I was using is 1/4" will the 1" smash down so i don't create a tripping hazard?
