5.8FL Water Pump Belt Change

What is the procedure for changing the raw water pump V-belt on a 5.8FLPHUE? The service manual shows the belt going directly from the pump pulley to the crank, but there is so little room with the circulating pump pulley in the way that I'm not sure how to get this on without taking the circulating pump pulley off. Can anyone help here?

If you can't get the old belt out or the new belt in, then I guess you will have to remove something to get access. The manuals aren't that detailed.
