I've got a 94 Larson Cabrio with the 7.4l Merc and Bravo3. After havig the lower unit rebuilt, in part because of corosion, I want to make sure all the anti-corosion measures are in place, however after looking through the bildge for a half hour this weekend, I couldn't find the Mercathode system that's supposed to be there.

Any tips for finding and testing it?

Yeah, this is the manual that I've been studying like the bible. If i understand correctly, the mercathode's electrode should be in the bilge, against the transom? (the diagram doesn't really give a good idea of what exactly you're looking at)

The part inside the boat looks like this.

The part on the drive is mounted to the bottom of the trim hose manifold on the bottom of the gimbal housing and looks like this.
Assuming of course the drive came with it from the factory.

If the Mercathode was installed later, there may be two round sensors like this.
