I have a 2001 Johnson 90hp that i would like to convert back to a regular fuel pump since the VRO pump is shot. But from the looks of it everything is hard piped and I cannot figure out how to connect the fuel pump to it.Any ideas?

Hose clamps and the correct fuel there's not much pressure there.

Gee, You should be able to connect the pulse limiter to the vacuum motor of the new fuel pump. Input to the fuel pump comes from the vapor seperator. Output from the fuel pump goes to the fuel distribution portion of the vapor seperator.

Re: Removing VRO

The VRO pump has a hard plastic tube with a o ring on the bottom of it that has a steel slide clamp that a screw goes into the distribution box that holds it in. Issue I'm having is since there is no hose nipple "as described" is connecting the outlet of the new fuel pump to the distribution box. Sounds better in my mind than typing it out here.

I believe your over complicating things. Maybe take a picture and point to your confusion if you could. Or explain it in detail like this:

Old pump: concern 1 , 2 ect

New pump: does or does not contain, problem 1 , 2 ect

Might help us clear up the issue your facing
