I've got this baby running pretty good, but it has teeth worn in 4 spots and when cold, where it takes a few cranks to get er' going, I can hear the starter kicking out when it hits the worn teeth. Someday it's not gonna want to start and I'm gonna have to pull the cover and manually turn the flywheel a bit to get it fired up. It'll probably happen the day I talk my wife into getting on the boat.LOL.
EDIT Motor is a 92 Johnson 70hp. Not sure if a 50 would work. I'll have to do some part # research or maybe someone knows offhand.
On another note: my throttle controls are "sticky" and it doesn't appear to be the cables. Is the assembly rebuildable.
I will post pics later tonight.
