Port manifold cool, starboard little warm

Hello,

My engine runs great, lots of power, starts good, runs good oil pressure (40psi), doesn't overheat and so on. Yesterday I noticed, when I docked my boat, that my port manifold is cool but starboard is a little warm. Not hot but slightly warm. Is it normal that there is a difference or is this indicating a possible problem? If so, what should I look into first?

Quite normal. Especially if on muffs or idle rpm.

Curious, How old is the impeller?

I had the same thing happen on my new boat. Ideling at the dock one manifold was warmer than the other, Well I would go as far as to say that one was cool and the other was warm. When i ideled the motor up the temp evened out.

Don, impeller is new (changed last spring). Last 5 minutes back to the port is at idle so engine can cool down.

Agallant80, same here. I will check next time after some cruising but it caught my attention. I check everything before I go off and when I'm back. Checked the temp on the manifolds and noticed the difference.

Thanks so far.
