Hi everyone, I just recently came across these forums while searching for information about my new used boat.
I'm from North Texas and am a first time boat owner that has a gas engine. I've had a few small boats with trolling motors and from the looks of it and cost, gas engine boats are a big difference

I saw a couple of NASCAR threads on here while glancing over the threads in Dockside chat, so I think I'll fit in with boats and NASCAR.

wecome, you should have done it my way....I bought a sailboat. LOL As long as there's a breeze my motor works. LOL

At this point, a bed sheet and some sticks crafted into a sail is what I may end up doing lol

I remember those days all too well. I loved my motorboat when it was running but mostly, it was a love hate relationship. LOL Hoping to have much better luck with the sails.

These guys are very helpful with the motor boat issues though. What have you got?

Its a 1979 VIP with a 1971 60 HP evinrude. The rude backfires and idles funny
