Hello, ok i bought my first boat. My outboard is stuck in the down position. I used the tilt trim, and i get a tap in the cylonoid. I tried manually jumping the cylonoid with the same result. Also i have no key for ignition. any ideas how to hot wire to see if motor runs. I could really use advice. Thank you. (Seahorse)

That engine has a special trim solenoid box which mounts remotely under the rear deck of the boat. Inside that box is a solenoid, similar to a starter solenoid which activates the up movement. Possible it needs to be replaced. You can see the factory parts diagram for the box at the factory website: epc.brp.com. Look for the power trim diagram on the 76 200 tab. The keys for that engine are pre-made by Bombardier. You need to get them from the dealer-no one else has the blanks. You need to know the key number. That number is stamped on the end of the key switch. You may have to take the switch out of the control box in order to see that stamped number.
