Remove ALL glue??

I am putting in new carpet and the just curious if i have to remove ALL the glue? I scraped about 90% off and there just a little left. I dont want to buy a sander and sand it down... Ill be using robberts 6700 again, it worked well on my last boat.

I would guess you'd be all right gluing it in as it is now, as long as you can't feel lumps.

Just in case you already own one, I find that a 4" round cup wire brush in an angle grinder removes it more quickly.
