Hello again,

I am finally ready to test the engine I have been working on. I have good spark, good compression and good gas. My problem is that I am not getting any fuel to the carb. When I pour a little gas in the carb it does fire shortly so I am confident as soon as I figure out this fuel problem it will run. My question is: I was reading the manual I purchased and it mentioned if the sight line has fuel or oil in it the pump is shot. The line has a green solid like substance where it connects to the fuel pump and to the carb. Is that oil and gas mix in the line. Think the pump is bad? Thanks for the help!

If its been dry for a while, a little squirt in the carb may not be enough. try filling the carb bowl first.
if that tube has gas in it its a bad pump. try removing the metal fuel line at the carb and crank the engine.
tank has fuel, anti-syphon stuck closed, weak pump cannot overcome anti-syphon resistance, swelled shut/collapsed fuel lines,
fuel pump sucking air, bad fuel pump, damaged camshaft.
