Through-transom trolling motor mount

I'd like to put an electric trolling motor on my '87 Bayliner Capri 1400, mounting it on the transom. Has anyone ever seen a bracket that mounts through the hull? There is room to the port side of the outboard. Or should I look for some kind of extension system that is normally mounted on the bow?

I don't know if you're familiar with these units from Minn Kota and I don't have personal experience with them. I do have experience with the Minn Kota Terrova bow mount and love it.

By having the unit attached to the motor you still use your existing steering to navigate the boat. They have 12v, 24v & 36v models and a choice of fresh or salt water models.

The units are available on iboats (free shipping right now too)
