Would anyone know how much,if any play should be at the INPUT shaft (push/pull) of a Borg Warner 71C.
It was rebuilt and reinstalled only to have the front seal pushed out after 5 min. run.
After removing ,I noticed the shaft has approx. 1/16-1/8 push/pull play. I am wondering if this is normal or had effect of walking the seal out. The other suspect would be excessive pump wear(not visually seen) that caused pressure to push out. Any information would be appreciated!
