good afternoon, i was lucky enough to get a free omc fuel tank from a pile of stuff along the road last season. upon trying to use it i discovered that the fuel pick-up tube was split almost the entire length. probably from having water in it over the winter (most likely the reason for it being free). anyway, it looks to be just a standard copper pipe. anyone have an idea how to remove the copper pipe from the black fuel connection/gauge thingy? Can i just un-solder it?

Re: fuel tank pick-up tube replacement

Go ahead and try it but normally you just replace the whole assy with a new gasket.
