1986 20hp - Swtichbox help?

I have a 1986 2cyl - 20hp Mercury (Serial #A929xxx). The bottom cylinder was not firing and I have determined it is the switchbox which has gone bad. The original product number on my switch box is "339-7452 A7."

As I look for a new switchbox I see 7452 A1,A3, A7, A8, A9 etc. What are the differences between all these boxes? How do I know which one to get?

Any help would be great. Thanks!

A new CDI switchbox for your motor can be be bought here at Iboats for around $150.00 or so and the part number is 114-7452A 3. The only main diffrance that I have found is that some are made with screw terminals and the newer ones have wire plugin as the conections. A check on Ebay for one that is garrented good might get you one cheaper. JMO
