does your cowl have insulation inside ? if there is a side access plate on you motor does it have a gasket, do you have a air silencer cover on that motor? and lastly does your transom hight allow for the cav plate to be low enough in the water ? check these things first there may be other issues, and options available to drop a few dcbu.
