'86 Force 85 ciruit breaker pops

the Circuit breaker near the starter pops everytime I connect my battery. it used to do it every so often, then I replaced the starter relay and now it does it as soon as the battery is connected. can anyone give me a clue as to what could be causing this?

Wiring shorted out?
Bad breaker.
Something's wired wrong??
A wire wore through and grounding?

^^^ agree with his post above. However, I had the same problem on my 88 force 85 hp. Mine was a small red wire that runs under the large red wire on the back of the starter solenoid. It gets hot apparently and had burned through the little one. It would only do it every few times and then pop every time. So I rerouted the small wire and covered it in liquid tape. Anyway something to check hope it helps
