Good day all. I live in Dallas tx and in need of a couple boat jacks to lift the back of my 28 ft boat. Would like to rent or buy a used set. Anybody got any ideas

Thank you

Craigslist or Ebay. A local marina or boatyard might be willing to rent, but I don't know that firsthand.

(buying and selling are not permitted on the iboats forum, if that's what you had in mind)

Re: Boat jacks???

I have rented 4 of em from a local marina a couple of times for $50/month...
If it's on a trailer and you only need to lift the rear. get a 6x6x10' board cut into 18"' blocks.. drop the tongue to the ground and block the rear. Then jack up the tongue ans VIOLA the rear is up... you will likely need to use a hydraulic jack as the tongue jack will very possibly not be up to the task.

We use cement blocks to block up the boats for painting. I use the method Kevin described.
