Can someone crack my code?!(Johnson Outboard)

I have been trying to figure out the exact model of my seahorse. With help from Joe & Gus I have found the number on the plug.Only I dont know how to translate that into the model #.
Hope someone can help.
(I'm pretty sure its a 79 Johnson 4 Seahorse but there are 3 different models)

What you found is the SERIAL number. Not only that, it is a Canadian serial number. It is not much help. The MODEL number for a 1979 4hp Weedless short shaft would be 4W79.

EDIT: From my private collection of serial numbers, I know that 8,059,107 is a 1979. From that, I'd say you are very close on guessing your 8,042,579 is also a '79. But possibly a '78, depending on where the break came.

EDIT EDIT: Looking at your pictures, your motor has an integral fuel tank......1979.

Wow!! Thanks for the info!! I guess mine is a 4W79. I know this is a longshot but do you know where i could find a lower motor cover?
And one more question, what sparkplug should that motor use and what gap?
Thanks again for all the info!! I'm a greenhorn when it comes to outboards.
