1965 evinrude 9.5 propeller???

Motor starts and runs fine but when throttle up the prop stops spinning and rpms go up high. Was wondering if this would be the prop going bad or if it could be something else. Any advice would help thanks

Sounds like a spun hub.Remove the prop and draw a waterproof line across the hub and body test run it and check the line.
If this has worked previously on this boat you could probably skip the test and and just get a new Solas Amita
in the same size. It will very likely perform better than the original ever did.
