I was wondering if anyone has tried to run a trolling motor off of a 36 volt lawn mower battery.
In theory it should work

A lawn mower battery is sort of a deep cycle battery
If its strong enough to run a lawn mower which is an electric engine
It should handle a trolling motor with ease

Any thoughts

If you have a 36V trolling motor, give it a try and post your results. if you don't have a 36V trolling motor, forget it, or you will burn up your motor.

Probably pretty low AH. I don't know the specs on an electric lawnmower but I would guess the run time is less than an hour. Do you only use your boat for an hour?
