I'm in process of replacing all of the original fuel hoses '71 Thunderbolt 500.
I converted the connections over to brass barbs and SS clamps. I'm curious if I should replace the cylinder bleed hose and the main bearing balance tube(hose). These appear to be in good condition. I'm curious how exposed they are to ethanol in the gas that runs through the engine.
The balance tube may be a no brainer since one end the connections seems to be loose and the only way I see to tighten it is to cut off the hose, tighten the fitting and put on a new hose. How would this loose hose affect engine performance?
