Dripping Trim Cylinder

'95 Alpha Gen II - found oil leaking out of end cap of starboard trim cylinder. I've learned that you can get either a "cylinder rebuild kit" or an O-ring (seal) kit. The first goes for anywhere from $100 to over $200 the O-ring kit can be had for around $20. The tilt/trim works fine except for the leak. Which kit am I likely to need?

Ayuh,... Welcome Aboard,... Was it leakin' from the Seal 'round the rod, or 'tween the gland nut, 'n tube,..??

The Rod Seal is a seal, the gland nut/ tube connection is an o-ring...

Look in the parts break-downs to see if what ya need is in which kit....
