Mercruiser 260 parts

Folks, I think I have the correct parts, but before I pull the trigger can I get you folks to help confirm I am looking at the right parts?

I have a 1981 Century Arabian with a Mercruiser 260:
Lower unit SN 5622736
Transom SN 5708753
Engine SN 5834135

if I am reading the matierial here on the site, it looks like I have a 1980 model MC-1, with a 1.5 gear ratio..

The boat has not been in the water in about 3 years, so I am changing the engine oil and outdrive oils, that stuff I have found references as to what to use already, however...

My questions are:

1) what trim motor fluid should I be using?

2) what water pump part number should I use? It looks like I need "#1 Units (Except MR-ALPHA) w/o flush screw in gear housing, PN 18-3317(1)" is this correct?

3) and last, which transom seal kit should I go with? Part # 18-2601-1 ?

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,.... Sounds like yer headed the right way,...

The impeller kit sounds Right,...
I'd have to look up the transom kit to know for sure,...

For trim fluid, if it's red, use ATF...
If it's clear/ amber, it could be motor oil, or hyd. fluid.... Merc has mentioned both over the years...

I use Hyd. fluid, cause I've got a 55 gal. drum of it out back...
Atf if in a pinch...

Merc water pump kit 46-96148A8 equals out to be sierra 18-3317.

You may want to double check to see if your boat has an exhaust tube or bellows, it is possible that the V8 engines may have been using an exhaust tube at that time while the inline engines used an exhaust bellows according to the merc parts catalog item number 19, http://www.mercruiserparts.com/Show...inbr=1595&bnbr=50&bdesc=BELL+HOUSING+ASSEMBLY

Merc transom seal kit number 30-803097T1 equals out to be sierra 18-2601-1 comes with an exhaust bellows, While Merc transom seal kit number 30-803098T 1 equals out to be sierra 18-8217 that comes with an exhaust tube.
