My 11 year old son went on a card trick learning rampage this winter having never touched a deck before which was right after the yo yo phase. He got so amazingly good at probably 50 tricks. Many rely on a few basic slight of hand principles but some I still can't figure out. Many you have to get good at handling cards which takes a while which is even more difficult with small hands. I'm less impressed knowing how many of the tricks work which honestly I'd rather not know and be entertained.
