Personally I would never run anything on any boat without some sort of circuit breaker or fused capability. It takes only one time to become a tragedy that could have been preventable... I’d install a 50 amp circuit breaker. They sell them all over the place...JMHO!
Perhaps we should determine what thrust this trolling motor has before we jump to conclusions about the 50 amp breaker. Being an inflatable, this may very well be a 30# motor with a wire size that cannot handle 50 amps.
