sorry i posted this b4 with just the outside picture,,,,,heres a picture of the bottom of the boat and inside the engine compartment,,,,,,was wondering what this is/what it does and how does it work??its in a 1982 sea ray 225 srv
Follow the wire and see if it doesn't go to your sonar. It's a thru hull transducer. It bounces sound waves off anything in it's radiation/reception cone and displays the results on your monitor. Other names for it are depth finder and fish finder.
