what about building engine box and rear interior?- pics working!

If the image shows up--- this rear area that's getting a total overhaul. I know what I'm going to do with it. <br />However, first this stuff all comes out, then the floor (and the mysteries below) gets redone, only once all thats over with will a new rear interior and engine box go in.<br /><br />But while I'm thinking about this floor, is there any reason not to add some in-floor storage<br />like we see in factory boats?

There is no reason why you can't set it up the way you want to as long as the structural integrity is maintained with proper stringer placement. I would say as long as your storage has good drainage it would be just fine...
