I have the above engine and am experiencing fuel problems. Inside the cowling on the bottom front of the engine is a small vacuum hose. It is just laying there. I have read that it may be some kind of drain hose for the lower bearing. It is below the Pulse hose. THere is also a T in the fuel line below the fuel pump that is capped off. My question is should the small vacuum looking hose just laying inside the cowling be attached to the fuel line, possibly to pull excess fuel and oil off????
I bought this boat a 1988 Hydra Sport thinking the fuel pump was out but after installing a new fuel pump it still will not get up on plane, just falls back to low speed.....
