Picked up and SS today for a measley 350 bucks. Hull is in excellent condition but the interior needs some work and the deck may need replaced. I did notice it has a cracked block but the head looks newer so if it's not cracked internally I may be able to JB weld the crack until I find a replacement.

Crack in block, hopefully not into the water jackets.

I can't for the life of me figure out how you got that so cheap. I guess the cracked block. Still a heck of a find.

BN - She looks like, except for the cracked block and age, she is almost original. If the block is beyond repair (assume it is) a replacement isn't too much. Still, a killer deal!

Nice rig BN. Nice to see one in great condition with just some "minor" mods needed --- ya know, interior, motor --- easy stuff! :)

No doubt it will turn out great!

To good of a deal to pass up. I never see Super Sports aroud here for sale.

I started it up. Once it warms up a little more I'll hook up the muffs to see if I get any water internally. I can find a donor for 3-400 with a good motor then part it out to get my money back.

If the deck is decent it will be "usable" for the summer and then work on it over the winter.

New, but tiny 12" tires but I have a set of new 14" radials I'll throw on.

You think 12" tires are small?.....My 16' SS is trailered on 8" tires!

Wow! Boat, motor and trailer for $350. That may be the record. I've got a '77 too. Mines an outboard. Really nice to see pics of one that is in such original condition. Good luck.

I was talking to mom tonight ( who happens to be an excellent seamstress) and she said she would take a shot at redoing the seats. That would save alotta dough.

I have been waiting quite awhile for an affordable deal. It just so happened to pop on craigslist and I was the first to inquire :)

And yes, moms are great.

I told you to watch those Canadians. Especially that Dozer guy. He's taking all the nice tinnies north. :bounce: He does make them better though. :D
