88 50hp Tachometer needed..

I need a Tachometer for an 88 force 50hp...how many pole tach am i looking for? Can someone recommend a good one?

Probably a 20 pole.
You have the Presolite Ignition?

Yes I have prestolite ignition..it is an 88c model..thanks Jerry

20 pole. I think Teleflx or Faria sells one.
I think in the wiring harness???? There is a lead taped back for the tach.
Look under the dash and see if you can find it.They used the same wiring harness on the 50/85/125
So there should be a tach lead.
