I have a 2007 Tahoe 216WT. The rear swim ladder handle as lost a nut and is very loose. Does anyone have any idea how to put on a nut and tighten the other ones down there. The nuts are on the inside. I could send a small child down there but then they would not know why I sent them down there. My point is that there is not enough room to get in there. Is there a special looooong wrench??? any advice or help would be appreciated.

Re: 216WT Rear Swim Ladder

I would find the nut size first. I would then take a wrench with the correct size and put the nut in the closed end section of it. Put duct tape on the buttom of it to hold it in place. Measure on the outer side of the boat, above the swim platform, from where the engine compartment is to the swim ladder. Then use a piece of conduit or what ever the same length. Take the wrench and zip tie it to the extension. Put tape on it to hold it also. Insert the contraption in under the swim platform from the engine area. Then have a buddy or wife tighten the bolt.
