A friend of my has a older boat when you run your hand on the top of the boat or touch it you get fiberglass hairs in your skin. Was wondering how to fix this from happening?

Re: Fiberglass hairs

I got one of my best kayaks free because of that.

It is caused by UV damage. One or two coats of solvent thinned epoxy will fix it - then a splash of hardware store enamel paint.......

Re: Fiberglass hairs

It depends on the boat. Post some pics so we can see what you're dealing with.

Kinda simple ..

Sand and Paint it.

You might want to consider Woodys $100 paint jobby .. and add in a few bucks for some sand paper.

YD.
