im pondering installing an overheat buzzer on a few of my 50's era rbm's( more for fun than anything!)......anyone have an educated guess what temp ( on the head) would be considered hot enough for a warning buzzer to sound???

Take it out and run it and check it with a temp gun. Temp sensors go off anywhere from 180* to 212*. The trick is to have a B+ source to power the horn.

i was more thinking a normally open snap disk thermostat held against the head between the plugs.....just a few bucks and available in many heat ranges, a 3v buzzer and battery case for two aa's from radio shack (maybe a test button) ? shouldnt cost any more than $15 installed. the main thing would be to keep the battery connections from corroding....maybe a dab od dialectic grease?
