I am cleaning out the shed and have a Minn Kota HGR 8842. I assume it's fairly old since the motor looks (no offense guys) like a sump pump, and the prop is small white and plastic. Does anyone know the date of manufacture, and does anyone collect old Minn Kota's?

Yep, I even found a chart online that explained how to tell when the motor was made from the serial numbers. Unfortunately it didn't include the HGR model. Anyway, hoping to get some idea from a MinnKota master with a long memory.

Got a reply from Minn Kota Service Dept -- see below--

Thanks for your inquiry to MinnKota. The HGR looks to be in the late 50's.
Thanks,
Dan
If anyone can nail it down further I would appreciate it.
