Embarrassed to ask because it must be so easy no one gives instructions on how to do it. I have loosened the tensioner (like the one for the alternator) and I have loosened all the seemingly relevant bolts, but still can't get any movement toward loosening the PS belt. I am concerned about applying too much pressure because I don't want to damage something else. Thanks for any help. An illustration would help immensely.

I know how to get the alternator belt off. I need to get the power steering belt off. Appreciate the attempt, but it really didn't help unless I am majorly missing something, which is entirely possible. I already plan to use your illustration for removing the alternator belt. Thanks for that.

Loosen the mounting bolts of the power steering pump so the pump will pivot toward the engine. Basically like tightening the belt, only loosening it.

Thanks. Did that and still couldn't move it. Should it take a lot of oomph to move? Seems I was almost forcing it. Thanks for your help. I am just trying to save a buck.

Finally got it loose and off the pulleys. Do I need to take the pulley off for the belt to clear the motor mount? Just those 4 bolts? I hate being mechanically challenged.

probably

no big deal, once you loosen the bolts, loosen the alternator belt then remove the bolts and the pulley

Thanks. Can I knock anything else out of whack by removing the pulley? Any shafts or anything that might come out of alignment?

no, the pulley is designed to come off to remove the belt
