I'm finally reassembling the powerhead on my '85 70 ETLK. I've got a gasket set that has two gaskets that I assume go between the reed block housing and the intake manifold. However, every online schematic of the air cleaner assembly shows 2 gaskets, a reed valve plate and a reed valve packing.
Mine doesn't appear to have anything other than 1 thick gasket between the reed assemblies and the reed housing which I assume would have been the same material that goes between the reed housing and the intake manifold. Maybe I stripped another layer off that wasn't secured by the reed assemblies (not likely but possible).
Does anyone know the various gaskets, etc. that go between the housing and the intake manifold? And in what order?
Thanks,
Jim
