I am wondering which thermostat I should use for my 1999 Suzuki DF70? I use my boat only in the Pacific Ocean where it is currently 58 degrees Fahrenheit. My old thermostat is 50 degrees Celsius but I'm wondering would my engine run better & be more fuel efficient with an optional 60 degree thermostat? The Suzuki parts sheet has the option for both.
My engine runs fine as far as I can tell and I the motor doesn't "make oil". I'm just curious since I am going to replace my old thermostat.
What is the optional 60 degree thermostat for? Thanks guys.
