Hi guys might sound a little silly but after stupidly putting positive & negative terminals in wrong place I blew my system check gauge and 27mh radio the question I want to ask is, does the gauge affect the vro coz she's smoking a little more than normal and oil is leaking or releasing from what appears to be an excess oil nipple/valve.

Any help would be great tjanks, its been an expensive week :(

The reverse polarity would not affect the mechanical part of the "VRO" pump. If you are seeing oil by the nipple, get that fixed right away plus the smoking could be caused by a number of things. To be on the safe side, have a trained tech run the "VRO" oil alarm test, priming test, and the oil flow test to be sure everything is working correctly.

There is a good procedure in the OEM Factory Service Manual.
