need to increse rpm

im currently using a 12 by 101/2 prop when i take out my 18ft pontoon to a higher elev. lake im losing rpm at top end 4800ideal is 5000-5500 if i use a 12 1/2 by 9 would that be to much gain of rpm thanx

Would help to know what motor.A 9 might add 200-300 rpm.If you have the prop give it a try.

sorry its a 2005 50hp elpto merc 2-stroke also what will that do to the top end?

On a pontoon its difficult to estimate results. There is no doubt your motor will be happier.
Calculator says the 9" with 20% slip will make about 17. 20% slip is a guess
your results could be different.

thanx alot does anyone have an opinion on the solas-amitas props

I like the Solas props, they use a state of the art process and have a history of good results.
