I have a 1976 25hp johnson #25R76E i was told that the base gasket is leaking is this the baffle gasket that is listed on the parts break down for this motor ?....how hard is this going to be to replace ?

just from looking at the parts breakdown on marine engine that looks to be correct. If you look they also call it the powerhead gasket. Someone told you it was leaking? Have you tried to tighten the bolts?

Normally the base gasket is between the powerhead and the midsection. It would be best if you confirm the issue, before you try to replace any parts....
