opinions on a 98 2100 superhawk

i've got a line on a 98 superhawk 2100 with a yamaha 3.1l outboard. any thoughts on these boats? I've got a family of 4 who loves fishing and tubing. we fish in some big open water seeing 4-6' waves. how do these handle?

basically, will my wife like it?:D

Easy way to find out... Drag it up the driveway and say "Honey, look what we just bought!" :bolt:

I have an 01 1800 Superhawk and have had it out in 4-5' waves several times. The boat handles it fine as long as I'm not trying to go faster than the conditions allow. I'd imagine the 21' version wouldn't have issue with 4-6' waves.

I have done that before it is usually followed by an eyeroll.

nice on the look what we bought. the superhawk is a John Storie boat. low profile bass boat. because it's so low, I didn't know how it would handle waves. we have a searay seville 19.5. handles waves ok but I have pierced them with the bow, scared my wife. 21' helps, just didn't know what that low of a boat would do

John Storie??? Crestliner also makes/made a 2100 Superhawk, so I was thinking they made the boat you were asking about.

Disregard what I said. I googled "John Storie Superhawk" and it has a LOT less freeboard than my boat, not something I'd want to take out into 4-6'ers.

yeah that's what I'm concerned about. it's a solid 8" less freeboard than my 19.5' searay.
