I have a Johnson 40 horse it set all winter before I bought it it will run done what do I need a carb kit or just change out fuel

Really you should only have to put in fresh fuel and it should run.
But, since you just bought it and it sounds like you have no clue if it will run or not???? Did you hear it run before you bought it??

I don't quite get what your saying,some punctuation will help. If it sat from Sept. to now the fuel should be fine.

It ran just a little rough. The gas looked like it had some water in it maybe.....
