I already removed the oiler gear but now I'm looking for a step by step for removing the alarm and anything else I may need. My computer is broke and I tried to do a search on my phone but it was tough so thanks in advance for anyone that can help.

I did mine a few months ago on that exact engine. All you do is pull out the gear (nothing else to remove) and leave oil in the tank to satisfy the low oil alarm is what I did because it was easy.

On second thought, I did one more thing. I wrote on the boat adjacent to the fuel filler cap "add 1 pt. oil/6 gallons" so I wouldn't forget. I use the syn blend oil and idle smoking is not any more noticeable than it was when the oiler was mixing at 80:1.

Did you block the oil line going from the tank to the oil pump. I'm not sure how it works but I was a little worried that the line that comes out of the tank might be a gravity set up that might allow the oil to run through.
